Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Warren Westside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Shine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Westside might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Queen - Another One Bites The Dust. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Warren Westside!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Shine!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shine lands with a kick to the temple. Westside shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shine throws an overhand right that lands on Westside's shoulder, as Westside tries to avoid the shot.

Shine takes the fight into the clinch.
Shine tries a knee to the head but Westside blocks it.
Westside is looking to break free of the clinch but Shine has double underhooks.
Shine unloads a knee to the mid-section. Westside lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Shine misses with a knee to the head.
Shine is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Shine crunches a lovely knee into Westside's ribcage.

Westside can't break the clinch.
Westside is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Westside is breathing heavily.
Westside wants to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shine comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shine connects with a nasty looking knee right to Westside's face.

Westside decides to pull guard.
Westside bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shine's guard.
Westside loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Westside has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Shine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Shine takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Shine throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Westside misses with a looping left.
Westside fails with the takedown.
Westside throws a right hand that Shine ducks under and follows up with a left that Shine also avoids with ease.

Shine takes the fight into the clinch.
Westside wants to get back to striking at distance but Shine won't allow it.
Shine throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Westside blocks it with crossed arms.

Shine tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Shine lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Westside jumps guard and drags Shine to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Westside looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Westside is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shine wants to get up but he can't break Westside's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Westside's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Shine lands a head kick. Westside smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Shine moves into the clinch.
Westside is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Shine tries a knee to the head but Westside blocks it.
Westside can't break the clinch.
Shine lands a knee to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shine keeps control of Westside as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Shine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Westside lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Westside is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shine has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shine!

Shine wanted to stand there but Westside had control of the position.

Westside working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Shine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Westside. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shine gets to his feet. Westside looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Westside moves forwards but Shine connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Shine takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Shine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Westside.
Shine wants to clinch up but Westside keeps it at a distance.
Westside fails in his attempt to clinch.
Westside tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shine swivels and escapes.
Westside looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Warren Westside. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shine swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Westside counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shine!

Shine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Westside sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Westside uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shine.
Shine throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Westside.
Westside throws a sloppy head kick and Shine moves out of range easily.
Westside lands a jab to Shine's midsection.
Westside misses with a looping right.
Shine fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shine lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Sun Shine seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Shine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Westside is looking to chop away at Shine's legs.
Westside scores with a one two! Shine had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Westside shoots in for a takedown but Shine shows good takedown defense.

Shine closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Westside is looking to break free of the clinch but Shine has double underhooks.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sun Shine is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Westside tries to clinch up but Shine circles away and keeps his distance.

Shine throws a head kick that half lands.

Shine is looking to slow Westside down with leg kicks.

The fighters circle momentarily. Westside darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Shine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shine clinches.
Westside is trying to break the clinch but Shine has him pressed against the cage.
Westside wants to get back to striking at distance but Shine won't allow it.
Westside tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Shine lands a shot to the body.

Shine lands with a light punch inside.
Shine connects with a knee to the head.

Westside shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Westside was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Warren Westside overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
