The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dela Fuente shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dela Fuente showed some decent athleticism there.
Hays might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dela Fuente is working for a kimura but Hays is defending it quite comfortably.
Hays wants to control but Dela Fuente is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hays is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dela Fuente's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dela Fuente's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dela Fuente trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Hays punches the canvas rather than the man.
Dela Fuente defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Hays is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Dela Fuente has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Hays has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dela Fuente taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Hays doesn't care though - he's delighted!
