Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quantum Lock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kiro Kirov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lock circles away from the clinch attempt.
As Kirov tries to get set, Lock tries to push him back and clinch up but Kirov manages to avoid the attempt.

Lock throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kirov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lock is in Kirov's guard.
Kirov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lock is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lock seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kirov for as long as he can get away with.
Lock stops Kirov from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirov is trying to keep Lock in close.
Lock forces his way into half guard.

Lock is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kirov trying to control but Lock postures up.
Kirov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Lock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kirov sees it coming and defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kirov wants to control but Lock is keeping busy.
Kirov controlling the position well.
Lock throwing shots but Kirov is blocking nicely.
Lock passes into side control, despite Kirov's attempt to control the position.
Lock connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kirov some visible discomfort.
Kirov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kirov keeps working.
Lock looks up at the clock and then as Kirov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lock smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kirov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lock is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Kirov is trying to control Lock's posture but Lock avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kirov is looking to reverse the position.
Kirov is still trying to improve position.

Lock is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kirov has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lock tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quantum Lock dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Quantum Lock's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Lock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kirov as he avoids it easily.
Kirov tries to clinch there but Lock circles away.
It looked like Lock was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kirov leaves Lock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lock dives in and grabs Kirov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kirov pushes down on Lock's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quantum Lock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kirov misses with a double jab.
Lock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kirov sprawls well. Kirov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lock gets slowly back to his feet.
And Kirov tries to counter it with a takedown but Lock pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirov rushes Lock and presses him up against the cage.

Lock ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lock no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lock is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Kirov sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Kirov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lock trying to control the position.
Kirov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kirov trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lock's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lock working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kirov.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Quantum Lock is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kirov keeps the fight on the outside.
Kirov stuffs the takedown.
Kirov throws a sloppy head kick and Lock moves out of range easily.

Kirov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lock, pushing him back against the cage.
Kirov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lock jumps guard but Kirov stands there with Lock around his waist. Lock gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Lock's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kirov has had enough of the clinch but Lock keeps him there for the moment.

Lock has clasped his hands together around Kirov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kirov is not content to let Lock control the position.
Lock tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Kirov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kirov trying to control here.
Lock stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kirov manages to get to full guard.
Lock wants to control from the top but Kirov keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kirov is trying to control the position but Lock postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kirov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lock circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kiro Kirov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Quantum Lock's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Kirov fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lock shoots in and gets a takedown into Kirov's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kirov holds on and takes a little breather.
Lock trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirov has his hands on Lock's head, controlling the position.

Lock tries to free his leg and advance position but Kirov is retaining full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lock's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kirov has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kirov pulls Lock into guard.
Kirov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kirov has Lock pulled in close to control his posture.
Lock working some strikes from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kirov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lock has passed into side control.
Kirov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Lock throws a strike aimed at the side of Kirov's head but Kirov avoids it well.
Quantum Lock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lock is looking to take a break and control but Kirov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kirov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Lock is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Kirov tries to reverse the position but Lock maintains control.
Lock with shots to the head and body - Kirov looks very uncomfortable down there.
Lock lands a big shot there that rocks Kirov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kirov is just holding on here. Lock manages to take his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kirov is keeping busy.
Lock is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Lock is hanging on to Kirov's back as he tries to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lock is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Lock controlling the positon.

And that's the end of the fight!
Quantum Lock showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lock has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
