Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edison Andrews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Myrick!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Myrick gets a double leg takedown into Andrews's guard.
Andrews will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Myrick must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Andrews has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Myrick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Myrick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Andrews has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Myrick has managed to get both his arms back between Andrews's legs - danger averted.

Myrick seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Myrick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Myrick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Andrews's guard.

Andrews looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Myrick is fending him off so far but Andrews persists. Nope, Myrick circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
