The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scores with a jab to the jaw.
Silva throws a hook but Fernandes blocks it.
Fernandes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fernandes shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Fernandes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Fernandes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Silva tries to bum rush Fernandes with a series of wild strikes but Fernandes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Fernandes. Fernandes gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva tries to stand but Fernandes is controlling his head.
Silva tries to get to his feet but Fernandes is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Silva in his guard.

Fernandes tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fernandes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fernandes.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fernandes circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silva throws a series of punches but Fernandes avoids them all with ease.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fernandes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fernandes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.

Fernandes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Silva lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Fernandes can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Silva and Fernandes drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Silva.
