The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendelssohn dodges the punch combination from Armbar.
Mendelssohn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Armbar is trying to defend but Mendelssohn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Armbar wants to stand back up but Mendelssohn manages to pass into side control.

Armbar can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mendelssohn is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Armbar is trying to escape and Mendelssohn transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Armbar is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mendelssohn! Very nice indeed!
