The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez looks to throw a body kick

and Dlamini counters with a shoot takedown. Fernandez fights it but they end up in guard.
Dlamini chips away with some ground and pound.
Dlamini slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dlamini gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Fernandez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dlamini changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fernandez tries to avoid it but Dlamini manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fernandez to the ground. Fernandez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dlamini goes for a double leg but Fernandez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fernandez continues to drive forward.
Fernandez scores with a one two! Dlamini had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Thabo Dlamini has been cut.
Dlamini is looking to clinch.
Fernandez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fernandez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fernandez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Dlamini takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dlamini is breathing heavily.
Dlamini slips a jab and a cross from Fernandez.
Dlamini is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fernandez.
Fernandez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fernandez lands a brutal head kick. Dlamini looks out on his feet and Fernandez throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
