Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alukszardiv Nirgazudomedov (ranked 5807 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taavi Mottus (ranked 4756 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nirgazudomedov looks to land a left hand but Mottus moved out of range nicely.
Nirgazudomedov tries to clinch up but Mottus circles away and keeps his distance.
Mottus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Mottus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mottus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nirgazudomedov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mottus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mottus drops Nirgazudomedov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nirgazudomedov looks back up at him and smiles so Mottus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Nirgazudomedov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Are you kidding me?! Mottus ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Nirgazudomedov clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
