The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richards gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hatta has had enough of the clinch but Richards keeps him there for the moment.
Hatta wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Richards has him pressed against the cage.
Richards pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Richards - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Richards gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richards slows the pace down in half guard.

Richards is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hatta doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Richards.
Hatta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richards. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hatta wants to get back to his feet.

Richards in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hatta tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Richards!
