Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Rain there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rain fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gonzalez on the side of the head.
Rain throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gonzalez.
Gonzalez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Rain swats away the attempt to clinch by Gonzalez.
Gonzalez wants to clinch.
Rain scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rain lands a leg kick that knocks Gonzalez off balance momentarily.
Rain thuds his shin into the meat of Gonzalez's side.
Gonzalez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rain circles away.
Rain lunges at Gonzalez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gonzalez's hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rain throws a nice head kick!

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rain lands a nice shot to the body.
Gonzalez wants to clinch but Rain slips to the side

and Rain counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gonzalez is wriggling around but Rain manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rain looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gonzalez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rain is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gonzalez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rain.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rain takes a little break here. Gonzalez wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Rain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rain cracks Gonzalez with a big right hand but Gonzalez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gonzalez is rocked!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rain working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Oh Gonzalez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gonzalez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rain is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Gonzalez goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Rain!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Black Rain!
After the fight, Black Rain was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
