Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ove Heim (ranked 7440 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Kain (ranked 6116 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heim cracks Kain with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kain takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kain tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Heim throws a jab but it's blocked by Kain.
Heim keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kain moves in looking to clinch but Heim pushes him off.
Heim throws an overhand right that lands on Kain's shoulder, as Kain tries to avoid the shot.
Kain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Heim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Heim throws a shot from downtown. Kain moves away and avoids it.
Heim lands with a good body shot.
Kain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kain tries to clinch up but Heim circles away and keeps his distance.
Heim scores with the left hand. Kain knows he should have avoided that one.
Kain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heim throws a hook but Kain blocks it.

Kain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Heim paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kain takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Heim lands a right hook to the body.
Heim jabs Kain to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ove Heim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kain goes for a double leg but Heim avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Heim continues to drive forward.
Ove Heim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Kain.
