Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eugenio Dillon (ranked 24023 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Kruger (ranked 6052 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eugenio Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse Kruger!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ben Watson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dillon feints and as Kruger raises his hands in defense, Dillon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dillon with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dillon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dillon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dillon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dillon throwing strikes from guard but Kruger blocks nicely.
Dillon wants to control from the top but Kruger keeps moving.
Kruger controls Dillon momentarily but Dillon frees himself.
Dillon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillon wanted to stand there but Kruger had control of the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dillon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dillon with the ground and pound but Kruger regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Kruger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kruger.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Dillon moves into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dillon avoiding damage.
Dillon is trying to push Kruger away but Kruger has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dillon is pressed up against the cage. Kruger has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dillon down to the mat. Dillon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dillon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Kruger tries to sprawl but Dillon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dillon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Dillon looks to land a strike but Kruger avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Kruger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dillon manages to get himself to full guard.

Kruger content to stall in guard here.

Kruger has gone for a leg lock! Dillon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kruger's guard.

Kruger is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Kruger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dillon is one step ahead there.
Kruger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dillon manages to get himself to full guard.

Dillon wants to get back to his feet but Kruger is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kruger passes Dillon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kruger landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kruger is stalling here. Dillon is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kruger seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dillon has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Dillon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kruger on the ground.
You can see the frustration on Kruger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dillon goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kruger rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dillon's guard! Nice work there by Kruger!
Kruger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dillon's guard.

Kruger is working for a submission of some sort.
Kruger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kruger looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Kruger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jesse Kruger has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kruger is pressing down on Dillon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dillon is holding on for now.
Kruger is just content to waste time from the top position. Dillon takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Kruger works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dillon is trying to stand back up but Kruger is controlling him
Kruger uses his free foot to push down on Dillon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dillon.
Kruger looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jesse Kruger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Dillon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Dillon gets caught napping as Kruger dives in and scores a takedown. Dillon manages to retain guard.
Dillon can't keep his opponent in guard - Kruger advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Dillon breaks Kruger's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kruger lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kruger is pushing down on Dillon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dillon is fighting to maintain full guard but Kruger has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kruger uses his free foot to push down on Dillon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dillon.
Kruger thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Kruger can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dillon is looking to escape.

Kruger might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dillon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dillon wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kruger.

Kruger can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dillon is looking to escape.
Kruger wants to control the action but instead Dillon gets a body lock and reverses into Kruger's guard! Nice work!
