McDuffy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Emerald. Nate Kulina has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nate Kulina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren McDuffy!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from McDuffy enables Kulina to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McDuffy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McDuffy looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
McDuffy looking for a sweep. Not yet McDuffy, not yet.
Kulina stays in close to McDuffy's body and controls the position.
Kulina has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
McDuffy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kulina forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDuffy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kulina drops an elbow to the side of McDuffy's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kulina is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kulina slows the pace down in half guard.
McDuffy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McDuffy is trying to get back to full guard.
Kulina wants to free his trapped foot but McDuffy is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kulina decides to stand up.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Kulina! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nate Kulina!
