Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Petrovski (ranked 8727 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Lukyanov (ranked 4525 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleksandr Petrovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boris Lukyanov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrovski tries to break the clinch but Lukyanov is controlling the position.
Lukyanov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Petrovski just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lukyanov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Petrovski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lukyanov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lukyanov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Lukyanov forces Petrovski back against the cage and clinches.
Petrovski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lukyanov lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Petrovski or not.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lukyanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petrovski sprawls well. Petrovski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lukyanov gets slowly back to his feet.

Well, if Petrovski is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Petrovski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lukyanov's head.

Petrovski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Petrovski lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Lukyanov manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Lukyanov can't keep his opponent in guard - Petrovski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aleksandr Petrovski will probably get the nod.

Petrovski is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lukyanov to keep the fight standing.

I would just about give that final round to Boris Lukyanov.
I think Lukyanov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
