Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Rowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villa comes to the cage accompanied by Faint. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Villa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Rowles!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowles blocks a low kick nicely.
Villa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Villa is looking to land body kicks.
Villa throws a head kick that misses.
Villa cracks a nice hook into Rowles's ribs.
Rowles fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Villa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rowles circles away quickly and effectively.
Rowles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Villa manages to avoid it.
Villa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rowles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rowles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Paul Rowles has been cut.
Villa misses with a two punch combination.
Villa connects with a right hand. Rowles shakes it off.
Villa throws a jab when Rowles was well out of range.
Villa throws a front kick that sends Rowles stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rowles does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Rowles takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Rowles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Villa thinking.

Villa throws a right hand that Rowles ducks under and follows up with a left that Rowles also avoids with ease.
Villa throws a sloppy head kick and Rowles moves out of range easily.

Rowles lands with a hook. Villa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Villa lands with a kick to the ribs.

Rowles throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Villa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Villa throws out a loose jab but Rowles uses good head movement to avoid it.

Villa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rowles connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rowles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Rowles counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lee Villa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rowles lands with an overhand left.
Rowles checks a low kick from Villa.
Villa misses with a wild body shot.
Rowles shoots in but no luck this time.
Rowles avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rowles swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Villa counters with a left and a right that stings Rowles.

That has opened up Paul Rowles's cut even more.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Villa knocks Rowles to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


Rowles is rocked!
Rowles tries to bench press Villa off him but Villa keeps the position.
Rowles is still in real trouble! Can Villa finish him?
Villa controlling the position from side mount.
Rowles seems to have recovered his senses.
Villa trying to control the action but Rowles is working from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rowles is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Paul Rowles's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rowles avoids the head kick by Villa.

and Rowles counters with a good low kick that Villa was not able to check.
Rowles scores with a jab to the body.
Villa scores with a jab. Rowles acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Villa scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


The cut above Paul Rowles's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Rowles is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Villa rather than just go for the knockout.

Villa keeps Rowles at a distance using the push kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Villa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rowles.

and Villa counters with a good low kick that Rowles was not able to check.
Rowles is breathing heavily.
Villa lunges at Rowles with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rowles's hand.
Rowles avoids the head kick by Villa.

and Rowles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Villa thinking.
Villa throws a sloppy head kick and Rowles moves out of range easily.
Lee Villa is winning the standup battle so far.

Villa closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rowles.
Villa lands with a kick to the temple. Rowles shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Villa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rowles falls off balance throwing a combination
and Villa counters with a head kick. That will keep Rowles thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!


Paul Rowles's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

and Rowles counters with a right hand to the body.
Villa misses with a two punch combination.

Rowles avoids a punch combination nicely.
Villa cracks Rowles with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Villa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Villa lands a high kick!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Rowles's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Lee Villa!
Lee Villa is the new light heavyweight champion!
