The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ismail looks for a takedown but Scanlan sprawls well.
Ismail misses with a wild combination.

Ismail steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scanlan.
Ismail tries for a takedown but Scanlan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Scanlan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Scanlan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Scanlan wants it to stay on the feet.
Scanlan throws a looping overhand right but Ismail ducks down to avoid it.
Scanlan cracks Ismail with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A nice combination there by Ismail.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Scanlan dips to his left and cracks Ismail with an uppercut!
Scanlan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ismail momentarily.

Scanlan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ismail had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Scanlan clobbers Ismail with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Oh Ismail is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fight stays on the outside here - Ismail looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Scanlan fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Ismail to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Ismail looks to clinch but Scanlan throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Ismail taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
