Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Thornton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Collin Windsor!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Windsor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thornton napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Thornton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Windsor tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thornton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Windsor moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Thornton.
Windsor tries to stand but Thornton is controlling his head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Windsor stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Thornton tries to keep at a distance but Windsor has taken the fight into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Thornton.
Thornton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Windsor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Windsor is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Windsor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thornton's half guard.
Windsor is controlling the pace.
Windsor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Thornton blocking the ground and pound attempt from Windsor.
Windsor wants to stand up but Thornton has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Windsor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Windsor is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Windsor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Thornton is now in Windsor's guard. A big mistake from Windsor there, giving up the dominant position!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Thornton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Windsor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thornton has managed to get both his arms back between Windsor's legs - danger averted.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Collin Windsor dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Windsor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thornton but Thornton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thornton tries to counter by clinching up but Windsor breaks away and moves out of range.

Windsor looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Thornton misses with a few strikes there.
Windsor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Windsor wants it to stay on the feet.

Windsor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thornton on his heels. He'll look to pass Thornton's guard now, I'm sure.
Windsor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Windsor keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thornton's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Windsor works over Thornton with some ground and pound from guard.
Windsor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Windsor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Thornton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Windsor is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Thornton is looking to score with low kicks.
Thornton throws a low kick but Windsor avoids it.

Windsor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thornton was covering up waiting for the punch and Windsor finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Windsor works over Thornton with some ground and pound from guard.


Thornton is rocked!
Windsor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thornton's guard.
Oh Thornton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Thornton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Windsor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thornton sees it coming and defends easily.
Still in half guard, Windsor seems content to control.
Windsor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Windsor landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Thornton is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Windsor scores with a couple of nice shots.
Windsor wants to stand up but Thornton is controlling the position.
Windsor passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Thornton!

Windsor is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Windsor extends the arm and Thornton is forced to tap!
