Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bbequenbawer Alvarez (ranked 7374 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Lukyanov (ranked 4454 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Lukyanov or perhaps it was just good defense by Alvarez, which made it look bad.
Lukyanov fails with a takedown attempt.
Lukyanov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alvarez moves away.
Lukyanov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alvarez back to the cage. Lukyanov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lukyanov stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.
Lukyanov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alvarez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Alvarez is trying to pull guard but Lukyanov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Lukyanov is pressed up against the cage. Alvarez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lukyanov down to the mat. Lukyanov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lukyanov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lukyanov tries to score a body lock takedown but Alvarez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Alvarez is trying to maintain a safe position but Lukyanov gets an underhook and turns Alvarez into the cage.

Lukyanov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lukyanov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
