The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meechum misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Meechum darts in and clinches Ure up against the cage.
Meechum is trying to pull guard but Ure has him pressed against the cage.
Ure wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Meechum decides to pull guard.
Meechum controls Ure momentarily but Ure frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ure drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Meechum dives on top into guard.

Meechum wants to control from the top but Ure keeps moving.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Meechum stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Ure has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Meechum manages to get his head free but now Ure has transitioned to an armbar! Meechum grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Ure! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
