The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Idrissi drops his hands momentarily and Lekdoor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Idrissi misses with a few strikes there.
Idrissi tries to clinch but Lekdoor moves away
and Lekdoor counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lekdoor lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lekdoor is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Idrissi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lekdoor counters by clinching up.
Idrissi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lekdoor just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lekdoor lands a hook that snaps the head of Idrissi backwards.
Idrissi tries to pull guard but Lekdoor holds him up against the cage and eventually Idrissi drops back down to his feet.
Wiam Lekdoor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ayoub Idrissi.

Idrissi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lekdoor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lekdoor lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Idrissi is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lekdoor screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
