The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barros closes the distance and pushes Hawkins back into the cage.

Barros pulls Hawkins into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hawkins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barros works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hawkins really is a fat lump.
Barros pulls Hawkins in close to prevent any damage.
Barros trying to keep a closed guard but Hawkins is proving a slippery customer.
Barros looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hawkins is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Barros has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hawkins is looking to defend but Barros has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hawkins! Barros pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hawkins taps out and this one is all over!
