Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fletcher Lee (ranked 24684 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Silva (ranked 5818 p4p, 573 weight class). Fletcher Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fletcher Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alberto Silva!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lee thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Silva wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Silva throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease.

Silva gets a clinch.

Lee swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A shot to the body from Silva misses
and Lee counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Silva clinches up against the cage.

Silva gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Lee works his way to full guard. Good work.
Lee has a closed guard, preventing Silva from standing up.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lee working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Silva stays in close to Lee's body and controls the position.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Lee's legs - danger averted.
Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break Lee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Lee's guard.

Lee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lee wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.

Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva wants to stand but Lee is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lee tries to improve position but can't.

Lee is looking for a sweep.
Silva wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.

Silva is chipping away with strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva scores with punches from side control.

Silva tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alberto Silva dominated that round.
That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lee, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva lands a takedown into guard.

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lee's head.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!

Silva drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.

Silva jumps into guard, dragging Lee to the mat.

Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lee is one step ahead there.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lee is aware though and is defending well.
Silva wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Silva wants to stand but Lee is controlling the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lee stands up and waves to Silva to follow him.

Silva gets a double leg takedown into Lee's guard.
Silva trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.

Silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Silva is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Lee tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Silva manages to circle out of the way.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Silva closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Silva is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lee has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Silva is looking to defend but Lee has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Silva! Lee pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Silva taps out and this one is all over!
