Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Emory Knuckles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyson Tension!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Knuckles misses.
Tension swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Knuckles looks for a takedown but Tension sprawls well.
Tension closes the distance and clinches.
Knuckles wants to take the fight to the mat but Tension manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Tension lands a right hand.
Tension lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Tension scores with a shoulder strike.
Knuckles has Tension pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tension manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emory Knuckles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tension lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Knuckles backwards.
Tension is pressed up against the cage. Knuckles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tension down to the mat. Tension avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tension works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Knuckles moves out of range as Tension strikes.
Tension takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tension is pushing Knuckles up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Tension receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knuckles blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Knuckles is looking to take this one to the mat.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Tension.
A short right from Tension on the inside.
Knuckles is rocked!
Tension lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Oh Knuckles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Knuckles tries to pull guard but Tension holds him up against the cage and eventually Knuckles drops back down to his feet.
Knuckles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tension pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tension closes the distance and pushes Knuckles back into the cage.
Tension lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tension - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A short left from Tension.
Tension pushes Knuckles against the cage. Tension is working some dirty boxing. Tension pushes off with a quick right hook! Knuckles goes down! Knuckles tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Tension moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyson Tension!
