PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerardo Terrell (ranked 24478 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zadey Boo (ranked 5206 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Zadey Boo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boo misses with a looping right.
A counter left hand to the body from Terrell misses its target.

and Terrell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Terrell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Terrell shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Boo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Terrell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boo parries the strikes from Terrell easily there. Terrell is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boo to escape.
Terrell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boo can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Terrell creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Boo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The referee asks Terrell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Terrell prefers to stall for the moment though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Terrell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
