Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheikh Kassim (ranked 3334 p4p, 354 weight class) and Theta Knox (ranked 4545 p4p, 431 weight class). Knox has chosen Shocking Lemon | Inner Light as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Theta Knox was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Knox doesn't manage to clinch there - Kassim circles away.
Kassim throws a leg kick but Knox sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kassim misses the jab.

Knox pushes Kassim up against the cage in a clinch.
Kassim misses with a knee to the head.
Knox is looking to break free of the clinch but Kassim has double underhooks.
Knox wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Knox tries to pull guard but Kassim holds him up against the cage and eventually Knox drops back down to his feet.
Kassim makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kassim.
Kassim lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Knox backwards.
Kassim scores with a nice hook to the head.
Knox is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Knox tries to stall but Kassim uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kassim crunches a lovely knee into Knox's ribcage.

Kassim throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Knox blocks it with crossed arms.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Knox has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kassim obliges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kassim unloads a knee to the mid-section. Knox lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kassim jerks Knox's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Knox drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Kassim goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Kassim because Knox was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
