Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, The God The God!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Bellafontane!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The God displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bellafontane.
Bellafontane misses with a few strikes there.
Bellafontane fails to land the takedown.
The God throws a big counter combination but Bellafontane scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Bellafontane should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bellafontane moves away from the strike by The God.
Bellafontane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but The God defends well and Bellafontane ends up having to push The God into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like The God was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The God The God has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Bellafontane.
Bellafontane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The God tries to avoid it but Bellafontane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The God to the ground. The God escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bellafontane gets the takedown into side control.

The God throws Bellafontane to one side and escapes!
Bellafontane looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bellafontane throws a series of punches but The God moves out of range.
The God rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bellafontane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Horrible takedown attempt by Bellafontane or perhaps it was just good defense by The God, which made it look bad.
The God throws a right hand that Bellafontane ducks under and follows up with a left that Bellafontane also avoids with ease.

The God closes the distance and clinches.
The God manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The God makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
I was talking to The God's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The God lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The God has Bellafontane pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. The God pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bellafontane tumbling to the mat - The God dives into Bellafontane's guard.
The God chips away with some ground and pound.
Bellafontane has momentary wrist control but The God slips an elbow through the middle.
The God controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The God has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The God makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The God chips away with some ground and pound.
The God will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The God working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.


Bellafontane is rocked!
The God stands up over Bellafontane, holding on to his feet. The God throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Bellafontane is out cold! The God lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). The God The God!
