Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between YungJ OneTwoThree (ranked 5715 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Younger (ranked 5992 p4p, 0 weight class). Younger has chosen Till I Collapse as his entrance music. Austin Younger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Younger misses with a looping right.
OneTwoThree misses with an attempted mid kick.
Younger loads up on a big right hand but OneTwoThree slips the punch.

OneTwoThree slips under a jab.
Younger throws a poor cross that misses

and OneTwoThree counters with a nice double leg into side control. Younger won't be happy with that.
Younger is trying to improve his position.
Younger bucks up and tries to throw OneTwoThree off but instead OneTwoThree has got his back!

OneTwoThree looking for the choke from the back.
OneTwoThree controlling well, preventing Younger from escaping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
You can see the frustration on Younger's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

OneTwoThree is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Younger defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Younger is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Younger tries to roll but OneTwoThree sticks to his back.

Younger rolls, trying to escape but OneTwoThree keeps control of the position.
OneTwoThree just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
OneTwoThree seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Younger for as long as he can get away with.

Younger tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

OneTwoThree goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Younger is on top in guard.
OneTwoThree pulls Younger in close to his closed guard and prevents Younger from doing any damage or advancing position.

Younger has gone for a leg lock! OneTwoThree slips out almost immediately though and dives into Younger's guard.

OneTwoThree engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Younger will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Younger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. OneTwoThree gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Younger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
OneTwoThree scoring with some ground and pound.
OneTwoThree sitting in guard here, content to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
OneTwoThree stands and throws Younger's legs to the side, diving into side control.

OneTwoThree tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no OneTwoThree has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! OneTwoThree's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Younger tries to circle away but OneTwoThree has him pinned against the cage.

OneTwoThree manages to break the clinch.

OneTwoThree forces Younger back against the cage and clinches.
OneTwoThree misses with an elbow strike.
OneTwoThree is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Younger pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Younger is fighting off a takedown attempt but OneTwoThree is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Younger to the mat. Younger regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
OneTwoThree controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Younger has his foot on OneTwoThree's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. OneTwoThree works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Younger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Younger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
OneTwoThree avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Younger.
OneTwoThree manages to get to full guard.
Younger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Younger is breathing heavily.
OneTwoThree pulls Younger in close to his closed guard and prevents Younger from doing any damage or advancing position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Younger is pushing down on OneTwoThree's leg trying to pass to half guard. OneTwoThree is fighting to maintain full guard but Younger has managed to sneak the leg through.

OneTwoThree is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Younger pulls his head out easily.
Younger winds up and cracks OneTwoThree with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Younger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
OneTwoThree regains full guard. Nicely done.
Younger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of OneTwoThree is proving hard to escape from.
OneTwoThree wants to stand and escape but Younger is having none of it.

Younger wants to pass the guard but OneTwoThree is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Younger drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and OneTwoThree dives on top into guard.

OneTwoThree seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OneTwoThree is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

OneTwoThree gets to his feet. Younger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
OneTwoThree bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

OneTwoThree ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

OneTwoThree gets the takedown into side control.
YungJ OneTwoThree overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
OneTwoThree in side control lands a decent elbow.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

OneTwoThree seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

OneTwoThree ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. OneTwoThree no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now OneTwoThree is on top in guard.

OneTwoThree with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
OneTwoThree slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

OneTwoThree is trying to trip Younger. He has hold of a leg but Younger is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. OneTwoThree persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

OneTwoThree sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Younger's guard.

Younger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Younger trying to hold on to OneTwoThree's head to control him but OneTwoThree postures up.
OneTwoThree perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OneTwoThree is taking a breather. Younger says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OneTwoThree is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Younger is just riding it out for now. OneTwoThree eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
OneTwoThree slips a straight right by Younger.
OneTwoThree shoots in but Younger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A swing and a miss from Younger.
OneTwoThree moves out of range of the strikes.
Younger throws a hook to the side of OneTwoThree's head but OneTwoThree sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Younger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by OneTwoThree.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Younger enables OneTwoThree to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Younger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
OneTwoThree has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
OneTwoThree is stalling in the full guard.

OneTwoThree decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Younger, up you get!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for OneTwoThree, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
