Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cheikh Kassim (ranked 3571 p4p, 369 weight class) and Slade Walker (ranked 6975 p4p, 581 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cheikh Kassim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Slade Walker!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kassim throws a push kick but Walker slaps the foot to one side.
Walker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kassim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walker will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kassim was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kassim clobbers Walker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Slade Walker has been cut.
Kassim closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Walker! Kassim dives in looking to finish! Walker is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cheikh Kassim!
