Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Craig Bartholemew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samuel Kain!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kain has closed the distance and engaged Bartholemew in a clinch.
Bartholemew is trying to drag Kain to the mat but Kain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kain breaks the clinch.
Bartholemew dives in and grabs Kain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kain pushes down on Bartholemew's head and hops out.
Kain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bartholemew as he jumps to the side.
Kain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bartholemew tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kain swivels and escapes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kain lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Bartholemew bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kain bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kain ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kain no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

No joy there for Kain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
