The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Qary circles away.
Qary misses with a jab, cross combination.
Santos Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Qary defends it nicely.
Qary sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Santos Jr gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Qary to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Watin Qary will probably get the nod.
