Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between AJ Daniels (ranked 5483 p4p, 383 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 5197 p4p, 360 weight class). James Howlett struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. James Howlett has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Howlett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Daniels is in Howlett's guard.
Daniels looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Howlett is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Daniels dives into side control.
Howlett is letting Daniels control him for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Daniels tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Daniels is working to tighten his grip on Howlett's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Howlett has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Daniels is really squeezing tight and eventually Howlett passes out! Daniels breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
