The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw slaps away a takedown attempt from Nostra, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Koza Nostra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nostra lands a slapping body shot.
Nostra goes for a double leg but Shaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shaw continues to drive forward.
Shaw seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

That was a close round but I would say that Lyman Shaw will probably get the nod.

Shaw is nestled in close to Nostra, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nostra tries to roll over but Shaw keeps him under control.
