Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Via Dios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaiser Soze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dios comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dios shoots in but Soze avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Soze tries to land a front kick but Dios steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dios shoots in for a takedown but Soze shows good takedown defense.

Dios throws a series of punches but Soze avoids them all with ease.
Soze throws a nice looking combination but Dios bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dios shoots in looking for a takedown. Soze tries to sprawl out of it but Dios keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Soze manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dios rushes Soze and presses him up against the cage.

Kaiser Soze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soze looks to land a combination but Dios avoids it well.

Soze moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Dios counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Dios uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Soze.

Dios stalks Soze and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Soze's face. Soze staggers backwards, shaken.
Dios really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soze is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dios in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dios creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Soze sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Soze parries the strikes from Dios easily there. Dios is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Soze to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dios wants to work for an arm triangle but Soze is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Soze wants to improve his position but Dios is controlling well.
Dios thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Soze's head.

Dios is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Soze is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dios's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dios's back!

Dios tries to break free.
Dios covering up well under a series of strikes from Soze.
Soze is not going to allow Dios to sit and survive in this position.
Dios breaks Soze's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Dios works over Soze with some ground and pound from guard.

Soze lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dios!

Dios is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Soze's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Soze's back!
Dios is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Soze has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Dios is hanging on to Soze's back as he tries to escape.
Dios lands punches and elbows.
Dios somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dios has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Soze has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
