Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kulina (ranked 5646 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Pritchard (ranked 5224 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean Pritchard is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kulina feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pritchard wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Pritchard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pritchard wants to stand and escape but Kulina is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pritchard wants to sweep but no luck.
Pritchard keeping moving, preventing Kulina from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kulina looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pritchard is fending him off so far but Kulina persists. Nope, Pritchard circles away and we're back to standing.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kulina crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pritchard - the referee stops the clock and Kulina gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pritchard. Kulina manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Pritchard misses with a hook.
It looked like Kulina was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Pritchard buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A jab from Pritchard misses.
Kulina throws a body punch but Pritchard moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Pritchard. That's going to slow Kulina down.
Kulina tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pritchard defends well and Kulina ends up having to push Pritchard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pritchard.
Kulina tries for a takedown but Pritchard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Kulina. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kulina is breathing heavily.
Kulina misses with the combination.
Pritchard looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kulina takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pritchard with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Pritchard lands a big head kick that sends Kulina tumbling to the mat! Pritchard takes a step backwards and waves Kulina back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kulina is rocked!

It looks like Nate Kulina has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pritchard ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Kulina's jaw. Kulina's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Pritchard does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
