The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Konte bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Konte's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Golden is looking to regain half guard here but Konte keeps moving and retains side control.

Konte is chipping away with strikes.
Konte moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Let's hope that Konte has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Golden is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Konte is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
