The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OShea slips under a jab.
A punch combination from Serra misses.
Serra rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but OShea moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

OShea closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - OShea lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OShea stands up over Serra, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

OShea thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Serra tries to land a sweep but no joy.

OShea drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and OShea jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

OShea chips away with some ground and pound.
Serra looking to hit a scissor sweep but OShea is one step ahead there.
Serra knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for OShea on the ground.
Serra wants to stand and escape but OShea is having none of it.
OShea scoring with punches to the head and body.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Serra connects with a jab.

It looks like Paddy OShea has been cut.
Serra thows a body shot but no joy.

Serra steps into range and cracks OShea with a monster punch that buckles his knees! OShea flops backwards and Serra dives into his guard looking to finish!

OShea is rocked!
Serra is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

OShea frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

OShea working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Serra turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips OShea off and cradles Serra's limp body as OShea celebrates with his corner.
