Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Philip Farmery (ranked 791 p4p, 108 weight class) and Conrad Calacon (ranked 2079 p4p, 248 weight class). Farmery's entrance music is Bad Wolves-Zombie. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calacon takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Farmery staying out of range there.
Farmery has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Farmery tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Farmery changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Calacon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Farmery tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Farmery has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Farmery wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Calacon, who protects the arm well.

Farmery goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Calacon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Farmery but great work by Calacon.
Farmery is looking for a sweep.

Calacon tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
A lull in the action here as Calacon stalls from top position.
Farmery is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Farmery manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Calacon wants to control but Farmery is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Farmery thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Calacon's head.
Farmery thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Farmery has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Calacon defend it? Farmery steps over the head and cranks it - Calacon is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Farmery!
