Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tropical Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Alavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tropical Davidson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alavaara backs up against the cage.
Davidson tries to clinch there but Alavaara circles away.
Alavaara swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Davidson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Alavaara is rocked!
Davidson tries to bum rush Alavaara with a series of wild strikes but Alavaara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Davidson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Alavaara is able to avoid easily.

Alavaara wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davidson has him pressed against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Alavaara just misses with a elbow thrown towards Davidson's brow.

Davidson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Davidson drops Alavaara with a right and a left! Davidson comes rushing in but Alavaara regains his composure and manages to keep Davidson in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davidson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davidson moves out of range as Alavaara strikes.
Alavaara lands with a big left! Davidson is wobbled badly! Alavaara comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Davidson to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
