Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Righty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Ransom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Righty comes to the cage accompanied by OCP by Gama Bomb. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Righty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samson Ransom!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ransom doesn't manage to clinch there - Righty circles away.
Ransom misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Righty lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Righty.
It looks like Samson Ransom has been cut.
Ransom misses with a double jab
and Righty counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ransom looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Righty!
Ransom avoids the attempt from Righty to control.
Ransom is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Righty can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Righty gets back to half guard.
Ransom seems to be looking for submissions.
Ransom is thwarting Righty's attempts to control the position.
Righty gets full guard.
Ransom preventing the sweep.

Righty keeping full guard, as Ransom tries to pass.
Righty throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Righty controls Ransom momentarily but Ransom frees himself.
Righty is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ransom is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Righty lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ransom gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Righty counter with a right hand.
Nice straight punches there by Righty. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Righty.
Righty throws a right and a left that Ransom avoids nicely.
Ransom has his takedown stuffed
and Righty counters with a nice uppercut.
Ransom takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ransom looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ransom looks to land a right hand but Righty moved out of range.
Righty lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Righty scores with a decent looking hook.
Righty lands with a nice body punch.
Samson Ransom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Righty lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Righty rushes Ransom with punches - Ransom moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Ransom goes down! Righty follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Righty!
