Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lawerence Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Kincaid!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kincaid shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barnes as he avoids it easily.
Josh Kincaid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barnes throws an overhand right that lands on Kincaid's shoulder, as Kincaid tries to avoid the shot.

Barnes moves into the clinch successfully.
Barnes tries to land a knee to the head but Kincaid blocks with his arms.

Kincaid is trying to pull guard but Barnes has him pressed against the cage.

Kincaid lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Barnes kicks Kincaid off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kincaid swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As Kincaid looks to move away, Barnes throws a big counter combo but Kincaid just gets out of the way.

Barnes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kincaid's guard.

Barnes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kincaid's head.
Kincaid preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Barnes wants to stand but Kincaid is controlling his posture from full guard.

Barnes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barnes is working Kincaid over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kincaid is trying to push Barnes away but Barnes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Lawerence Barnes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kincaid content to stall in guard here.

Barnes has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kincaid has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Barnes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Barnes has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kincaid clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Barnes is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kincaid defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Barnes lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Barnes is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Barnes gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Barnes gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Barnes apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Barnes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
