The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda with a lazy takedown attempt

and Kassim counters by moving into the clinch.
Miranda jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kassim walks away with a smile on his face. Miranda gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kassim fails to land with a series of punches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miranda shoots in for a takedown but Kassim shows good takedown defense.

Kassim is trying to defend against the choke here but Miranda has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Miranda Tightens the hold and Kassim taps out furiously! Miranda displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
