Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwain Randall (ranked 6164 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McBrick (ranked 5141 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dwain Randall has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dwain Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick McBrick!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Randall can't find room to land a body shot as McBrick controls the action.
McBrick will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Randall up against the cage.
McBrick just leaning against Randall, taking a breather.

McBrick gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
McBrick throws a big right hand that misses.

Randall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McBrick is aware though and is defending well.
Randall tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Randall wants to get back to his feet but McBrick is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McBrick throws an elbow that misses. Randall uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McBrick's guard. Nice move by Randall!

Randall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Randall stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

McBrick tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Randall instigates a clinch.
Randall is trying to drag McBrick to the mat but McBrick just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
McBrick told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

McBrick has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Randall clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Randall is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McBrick doesn't have the hooks in and Randall manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Randall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McBrick, up you get!
Randall tries to clinch but McBrick is having none of it.

Randall pushes McBrick up against the cage in a clinch.

McBrick turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McBrick manages to end up in side control.

McBrick lands a decent elbow from side control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McBrick is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McBrick looks to land a strike but Randall avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Randall is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. McBrick presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

McBrick has picked Randall up - he's going for a ride! McBrick dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Randall drives through and clinches with McBrick against the cage.

McBrick turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Randall is looking to regain half guard here but McBrick keeps moving and retains side control.

McBrick thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Randall wants to get back to his feet.

McBrick goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Randall rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McBrick's guard! Nice work there by Randall!

Randall lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McBrick backs up against the cage.

Randall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McBrick tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Randall wants to stand up but McBrick has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Randall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Randall wants to stand but McBrick is controlling his posture from full guard.

Patrick McBrick has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dwain Randall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Randall tries to clinch there but McBrick circles away.
And McBrick tries to counter it with a takedown but Randall pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Well Randall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
