Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Grill (ranked 928 p4p, 141 weight class) and Harold Zoid (ranked 2776 p4p, 376 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grill was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Zoid has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Grill is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Zoid, as that shot connected.

Grill is trying to push Zoid away but Zoid has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

That's time! Grill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Grill drops his hands momentarily and Zoid takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Grill tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zoid was well out of range. Poor timing from Grill.
Good leg kick by Zoid there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Zoid feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Grills jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Grill takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

I was talking to Grill's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
