Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Apollo Creed!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rodd.
Rodd throws a shot from downtown. Creed moves away and avoids it.
Creed shoots in for a takedown but Rodd shows good takedown defense.
Creed throws a body kick that misses.
Creed misses with a takedown attempt - Rodd sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rodd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Creed manages to avoid it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Creed shoots in looking for a takedown. Rodd tries to sprawl out of it but Creed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rodd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Creed looks gassed!
Creed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Creed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodd tries to avoid it but Creed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodd to the ground. Rodd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Creed moves in looking to clinch but Rodd pushes him off.
Rodd connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Creed's hands.

and Creed counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rodd's guard now.

Creed tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rodd smiles and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Creed is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
