The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo dives in and grabs Al Qassam's left leg, looking for a takedown. Al Qassam pushes down on Rodrigo's head and hops out.
Al Qassam leaves Rodrigo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rodrigo tries to close the distance and clinch but Al Qassam swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Al Qassam looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Al Qassam bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rodrigo is trying to get back to half guard.
Al Qassam works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Rodrigo taking punishment in the form of punches.
Al Qassam creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Al Qassam lands a strong strike to the head of Rodrigo. That's dazed him! Al Qassam looking to finish here. Rodrigo is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Al Qassam lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
