The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez throws a nice looking combination but Ra bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ra lands with a nice combination. Martinez backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Jacob Martinez has been cut.
Martinez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Martinez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ra counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Martinez thinking.
Ra takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Martinez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ra counters with a lovely shot to the body.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Martinez.

and Ra counters with a three punch combo that has Martinez backing up. Martinez nods at Ra to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ra wants to stand but Martinez is controlling the position.

Jacob Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ra lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ra lands a nice hook to Martinez's body. Martinez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ra tries to bum rush Martinez with a series of wild strikes but Martinez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ra throws a series of punches but Martinez avoids them all with ease.
A nice combination there by Ra.

Oooh a lovely combination from Ra sends Martinez down but not out. Ra dives into side control looking to finish.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ra lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Martinez at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Ra lands an impressive looking overhand right. Martinez doesn't seem phased though.

Ra lands with a big left! Martinez is wobbled badly! Ra comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Martinez to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
