The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tessmacher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tessmacher showed some decent athleticism there.

Gray is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tessmacher pulls his head out easily.
Tessmacher content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Gray looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Gray wants to get back to full guard but Tessmacher has passed into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gray seems a little lost for a moment, as Tessmacher dominates the positioning.

It looks like Tessmacher might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Gray is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tessmacher is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Tessmacher tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
