PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Ollsen (ranked 24539 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Frank (ranked 6002 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Frank Ollsen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frank Ollsen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor Frank!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank throws a body shot but no joy.
Ollsen doesn't manage to clinch there - Frank circles away.
Connor Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frank tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ollsen swivels and escapes.
Ollsen connects with a leg kick. Frank looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Frank shoots in looking for a takedown. Ollsen tries to sprawl out of it but Frank keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ollsen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ollsen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Frank has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Frank shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ollsen defends it nicely.

Frank walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Frank has eaten all the pies!

Ollsen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Frank throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ollsen tries to counter by clinching up but Frank breaks away and moves out of range.
Ollsen checks a low kick from Frank.
Frank looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Frank doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ollsen counters with a two punch combo.
Frank misses with a body shot
and Ollsen counters with a left and a right that stings Frank.
Frank tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ollsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Frank.
Frank tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ollsen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Frank somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ollsen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Frank pulls his leg out and moves away.

Some bone on bone action there as Ollsen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ollsen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Frank closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ollsen's guard.

Frank shoots in looking for a takedown but Ollsen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Frank's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ollsen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
