Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Qassam stuffs the takedown.
Chavez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Al Qassam pinned against the cage. Al Qassam gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Chavez moves into the clinch successfully.
Chavez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Al Qassam smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Chavez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Al Qassam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Al Qassam is nestled in close to Chavez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Al Qassam seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Chavez is rocked!
Chavez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Al Qassam on the ground.
Al Qassam is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Oh Chavez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Al Qassam unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Chavez wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Al Qassam celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

After winning the bout, Izz Addin Al Qassam thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
