Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huberto Arnaboldi (ranked 4495 p4p, 156 weight class) and Russell Wallace (ranked 4243 p4p, 90 weight class). Wallace has chosen Dust in the Wind as his entrance music. Russell Wallace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnaboldi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wallace sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Arnaboldi takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Arnaboldi pushes Wallace away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wallace gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Wallace wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arnaboldi keeps working.

Wallace is persistently looking for the submission but Arnaboldi is defending it well.

Wallace has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Arnaboldi 's body.

Wallace has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Arnaboldi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Wallace is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Wallace gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Wallace gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Wallace apologises and we restart here on the feet.
